A Cornwall Food Guide to the Best Restaurants Near St Ives and Polzeath

For the foodies out there, here's some favourite restaurants in and around St Ives and Polzeath. Days surfing, walking, swimming, playing and relaxing on the beach need to finish in the right way, with delicious food, so be sure to check these out if you're near by. Top tip book ahead!

Becks Fish and Chips, Carbis bay

This one has my vote for the best fish and chips in Cornwall. A family owned business popular with locals and tourists alike, also expect to sing Happy Birthday, potentially multiple times over dinner. The gluten free batter is also great here, dare I say even better than the regular batter.

Crackling Crab, Polzeath

From the outside this place doesn't look up to much but you'll struggle to get a table on an evening without booking ahead, a token to just how good it is. It has also by far got the best view of all the restaurants in Polzeath. They've got seafood by the bucket load, don't head to Rick Steins go here or one of the others on the list!

Seafood cafe, St Ives

Completely customisable menu pick your fish or meat, sauce and sides, so you can get exactly what you fancy. Unfortunately, if you're vegetarian or vegan their isn't much option for you here. Top tip book ahead, this rule applies to most restaurants in St Ives.

St Moritz, Trebretherick

Whether you're staying at the St Moritz or in the area, book yourself a table at the hotel's restaurant, you won't regret it. Delicious dishes made from fresh Cornish produce, you can't go wrong with whatever you pick.

Caffe Pasta and Pizzeria, St Ives

An Italian restaurant located on the picturesque St Ives Harbour side. Good varied menu, a nice way to mix up the food on your stay in Cornwall with an Italian night and be sure to check out the specials board.

Paradise Pizza, Polzeath

Situated next to Cone Zone right on the edge of the beach in a food truck find the best pizza in Cornwall, fact. A small menu but big on taste and they still cater for gluten free, dairy free and meat free. Get yourself a wood fired pizza and grab a spot on the beach for an unmissable sunset! Just beware of their opening times and make sure you get your order in on time.

Stepping stone, Wadebridge

Another restaurant that you must book in advance, that's a good tell tale sign after all. Tucked away on a side street in the town of Wadebridge, is the small Stepping Stones restaurant, this ones a hidden gem. British cuisine with fresh Cornish ingredients every day or go for a Sunday Roast. It is slowly becoming more well known and gaining a reputation across Cornwall.
